I know that to get a new instrument panel for vehicles that store the mileage there you have to do legal documents. All I said is you will have legal problems; perhaps they are simple to overcome. And that if the BCM and the instrument panel don't match up the speedo and odo will not work.

I get it, I just don't see how an issue would ever come up, especially since the car actually has lower mileage than shown. As long as I mark that the mileage is incorrect I don't see how there would ever be an issue.

Laws were made because used car dealers were running the mileage back and cheating people. I do see problems coming up.

Yes but as I posted previously, when the car is over 10 years old it doesn't matter. Not to mention the mileage wasn't set backwards. It went forwards.

Also, I never plan on selling it, it was 375 dollars, I will get my use out of it and junk it or use it for parts for my other.

For information from Mitchell OnDemand:

Additionally ; the radio needs to be introduced, the SDM (airbags) needs to be introduced. Maybe other things.

I can do those things with the tech 2, or in my case the emulated version.

Edit: After a quick google search apparently I will be able to adjust the mileage to the correct number as well with my TIS2WEB subscription from ac delco.

Thanks for pointing this out to me.
