There was a great discussion about the little blue light here

https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/show...ight+headliner

Also some of us have changed the LED to a high intensity blue light that looks great. You can find pics and instructions in the above link.

I think they put that little light there so we could all wonder, "Why is that little light there?"

I listen to brutal technical death metal, and on the really good parts I behold the metal under the light like this.

That's all it does for me

Actually its more like $1.50.
It is just a "white" LED.

Doesn't the direction book say it has something to do with the headlights?

By gosh, I'm going to go see what hubby did with the direction book, I'm too curious now. Good thing I'm not a cat!

Just like any other dash light, it comes on with the headlights.

Wat's the lil light inside above the windshield for? Dealers don't seem to know, or at least the sales people I talk to. One told my friend it was to light up the moon roof buttons, but I don't have a moon room and I have the lil purplish light. thanks. privates welcome

HAHA...that was one of the first "what in the world" things I saw on my HHR. Then I drove it at night and lo and behold...it lit up my window controls. Hubby wishes we could turn it off though without turning off everything. I like it...so it is staying.
