Mongo/Doctor_K, no it would not be invasion of privacy because the cameras are posted on your car, and performing security on it to make sure that nothing happens to it, and if something does, so long as the camera is in your vehicle, then yes, it will be admissible in court. Personally, I would post one on the bottom of the back window, on either side of the vehicle, pointing out a little bit/ same thing up front, if not tucked under the headliner a bit.. Really, you could get that done for cheaper than that repair bill.

Ouch!
Can't believe it was only $1,200 to repair; everytime something happens to me it's $3,500 - $5,000. I'll bet most of the cost is the complete bumper replacement.
Agree with “Officer” as to the privacy issue. When people are in “public” they have no reasonable expectation of privacy. However, audio recording WILL get you into trouble in many states. AND don’t post the video on Youtube and the like, unless you like hassles.
