Looking for advice on the HHR
#71
YEah I know. If the HHR was a solid reliable vehicle. (I DID own one) I would not mind paying the prices being asked for. I found about 12 LT2s on CArGuru last night, A few really nice ones a couple hundred miles away.
Once I sell my truck and have $22K in hand I will be able to be more flexible ad far more discriminative. I think the SS is the financially prudent way to go if one is going to spend $15,000
When people pay cash for vehicles (and life in general) with few exceptions, they think LONG and HARD about their purchases whether $10K or $25K. That is usually how they get to the point where they can bank their own purchases. That is how I am driving a Tacoma that I will sell for $1500 more than I paid for it after 2.5 years. That would rarely if ever happen with an HHR so one must cast a wide net and seek only the best deal and keep emotion out of the equation until one has the pink slip.

Sold the Taco today for $21,500 cash. Time to play Sherlock Holmes and find the right replacement. Thankfully I can ride the bike another few months without having to bundle up. Been perusing this site. Lots of good information. Now I get to see if I jump into the sharks tank or play it safe.

You worry too much 777, even the best of the best HHR's will occasionally break or suffer an age related malfunction.
Find the best one you can, check it out thoroughly, write the check and enjoy it.
If something breaks, it's not the end of the world, life is too short and precious to drive yourself mad worrying about "what if's" and "maybe's".
