Looking to purchase a HHR

Hello all, I have been looking for a new daily driver and I like the looks of the HHRs. I have found a nice used 2007 Cappucino White LT. It has 17k miles on it and I was wondering if there are any problems or quirks that I need to look for when I go look at it this weekend. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

make sure it has running board or mudflaps mine didn't come with any and after 6 months the rear rocker panels where all sandblasted BAD. I live in Maine so maybe where you live is ok but if I ever get another one that is a MUST for me.

This is a special edition as well--so maybe it has them already??

I forget who has one on here...

Yeah. Make sure you get running boards on it. I made sure both my wife's and mine had them. Otherwise, we have an '06 LT1 with 2.4 engine and five-speed and an '07 with 2.2 engine and automatic transmission. No problems so far with either one. I was sorely tempted to trade mine toward an '0s SS, black. with leather interior and sunroof. The $25K price tag and automatic transmission put me off, however.

+1 for running boards. Or use that as a bargaining tool on a low mileage HHR without them. It could cost $450 to $700 based on other people have said. I test drove a blue '06 with 38k miles that had sand blasted rocker panels and that made running boards mandatory for me.

Make sure that the debris guard for the condenser is there. If there's not one there, make sure the air conditioning works properly and plan on getting the guard installed a.s.a.p..It's part #25829960-$21.19 plus tax.

It does have running boards and it is Cappucino Frost instead of white. Thanks all, hopefully I'll be posting some pictures of my new HHR on here Sunday.:)
