Losing My HHR

Losing My HHR
Well, my daughter was in town this weekend, and like a good dad, I look out for her car - a nice '91 Caddy with only 49,000 miles (23K when I bought it couple of years ago). Anyway, shocks are acting worn out so I loaned her the HHR for a few weeks while I work on hers. She loves it! I just may have converted her to an HHR or worse yet, could lose mine if I'm not careful.

There you go! It's only money! - And she's my daughter!!! Got to mention - for years we've sold antique car parts at Dunkirk, NY in May since she was about 7 years old. She helped me year after year and was fantastic on pricing and sales. As high school approached, the prom got in the way, then college, etc.
Well, she finished finals last week and for the first time in about 7 years we got to do Dunkirk together. Had two wonderful days together selling our wares and having a ball. I think only a father with a daughter could ever understand what a great time it was.
I'm lucky to have her only two hours away from me in Cleveland and we talk about three times a day.

HHR's are great cars! Good to hear you converted another one to love the "Lunch Box" as my SO calls it. She seems to dislike how it looks, but says, "It's roomy and I like the ride" Go figure LOL!
Beautiful story about the passion for selling! That's a rare relationship you have with your daughter!

Dunkirk Forever!
No! No! No! - Don't Worry!
We have a new chairman (I'm a club member) and he worked his butt off bringing in new vendors and customers. This year was the best in 5 or 6 and next will be even better. Other than the rain on Saturday, it was great. Next year stop in at G13 and G14 and say hi, or better yet, we'll see you at a G2G. Now, as far as Chevy parts only...... The FORD item is an original floor mat from a dealer showroom. My uncle owned JC Stephen's Ford at University Plaza across from University at Buffalo on Main St. from the 30s or 40s up until the early '80s. Now it's a Walgreens (what else is new). The mat is not from his showroom as far as I know.
Did you happen to see us?
