Unhappy Lost..........

I have been looking through the forums for over 4 hours now, trying to find a particular thread where someone was turning their HHR into a half panel. Please help me find this thread, it was detailed with pictures of everything taken out of the back, and pretty descriptive.

Did you use the search feature? I typed in Panel Conversion and did come up with a few results... I don't know exactly which one you're looking for though... I've never looked through those before.

yes, used the search function, it said something about half panel, not conversion.

Do you happen to know a name of one of the members that posted in it? You can do a search that way as well.

It may have been, i seem to remember that someone was turn the back lift gate into a 2 door with hinges on the side instead of on the top. That does give me what I need to know for the most part though, except the removal of the interior trim panels. Thank you so much. 8-D

i must have gotten the post i was looking for confused with that one. That is indeed the barn door thread I was speaking of. I thought I saw a thread a cople of weeks ago when i was lurking where someone had WELDED in the pnales instead of just replacing the glass. I guess I was mistaken. CRS Syndrom strike again. or maybe this is the second stage, "CRAFT"! Thank you all for your help. 8-D I hope to be able to post some mods that I will be doing on here and help someone else out like you all have helped me out so much.

if ur gunna weld in the windows..invest in ALOT!! of "clecos"..last season chopped and paneled an s10 blazer..(pics on my page)..biggest pain in the butt job I have ever tackled..and even had alot of help from ol skool rod buddies..cant say Ill ever do that again but good luck..my only advice is use thick material for window openeing or brace the heck out of them from behind..watch the heat but im sure you know that already..very thin body metal warps easily..cool wet rag really helped..
