Talking with some of my co-workers about stuff I was planning to do with my Panel, when one of them called it a PT Cruiser.... had to tell him it's an HHR, then tell him what HHR means, and it occurred to me that I usually refer to it as the Panel, as 'aitch aitch arrr' just doesn't roll off the tongue very well.

I know it's patterned after the '49 Suburban, and since 'Suburban' was still in use that was out. I just wonder if there was a less-clumsy name GM could have used?

I always thought "Nomad" would have been cool.

I agree. HHR SS is even clumsier. Sounds like there's a number missing for a motorcycle name. "This is my HHR1000SS." PT Cruiser is lame, too. I have no idea what a "PT" is. Party Truck? Putrid Turd?

Can you believe of all things, it stands for "Personal Transport". Now there's creative thinking.

Did not know that...Kinda like those Segways

I just refer to my rig as the Chebby Panel, but it's actually more of a Sedan Delivery..

Any time I say HHR, some get that "deer-in-the headlights" look..

Whatever..."HHR 2LT PV" Panel Van, Sounds more like plumbing parts
