Thank you. What became the PT Cruiser was originally to be the Plymouth Pronto. Several versions, Including a Pronto Cruiser that had a front end similar to the PT had been shown at various auto shows and one car magazine speculated on that car being the one to save Plymouth once it was announced that it would go into production. Unfortunately, the decision to end Plymouth was made shortly after production was green lighted. So the car was quickly renamed "PT Cruiser" and was sold as a Chrysler.

My friend, I don't need to check the internet, cuz I had friends who worked there. It really means Plymouth Truck, I don't care what the internet has to say. People may have an official meaning cuz the original no longer fits, but that doesn't change things.
Still, those convinced against their will are of the same conviction still

SERIOUSLY?! I personally don't care what you drive- PT, HHR, Honda, whatever; seeing as that all you can type in here so far is BS and negative comments, get the F**k out of the forum. Go troll the nearest ricer's forum and make yourself happy there.

Seems to me the 'letter and number' type designation that is soooooo popular with Euro carslacks imagination. I think that 'Greenbriar' would have been a great name for our cars, at least in the window version. Panels were always just called panels.
