Low Windshield
#22
I may get one too! I may be only 5'1", but even I have to occasionally tilt my head to check the light--i like the retro-look of the prism, but wanted to keep the mods to under-stated and this seems like what I need.

It does work very well, but so do the prisms. It comes down to personal preference.
I prefer the light in sight because it is flat against the windshield, can be mounted high up on the windshield, and is pretty much clear (i.e. out of sight).
If I were to get a prism, I would get the dash mounted one over the windshield mounted one. By looking at the pic of the windshield mounted prism, I can tell it would annoy me to the point where I would remove it.

The lightnsight looks good, where are you mounting it?
I would put it close to the center top, but there are those damn black dots stenciled on the glass. What are those for anyway, I find them annoying.

They are there to annoy you, per Chevrolet marketing bulletin #469H-14222.

BTW, I hardly ever use the visor. I'm 6' tall and look through the upper part of the windshield anyway. If I put the visor down, I can barely see anything more than the road - no distance.

Mine is centered in front of the driver at the top edge of the windshield.

I love the HHR, and I am considering getting one, the viewpoint is the only thing that is slowing me down. I sat in a new xB, could see better in it.
