Lowered seats
The seat height in my 2007 Lt was not to my liking, especially with the sun roof. So, I pulled the seats and started to modify the seat frames. Had to pull the interior panels and console to gain access. The side panels have just clips. 4 -10mm nuts liberated the console. The top of the console snaps out.
The tube that supports the rear of the seats goes all the way across the car. It is not symmetric. And it is really hard steel. I will be dropping the support bar 2" and shortening the front clips 1.5".

lowered seats - front clips
I got a start on the front clips before my welder went on the fritz. I sectioned out 1.5" and the clips still slid in. The part that supports the weight on the floor got pretty thin so, I put a tie bar across that. Since the back is going down 2" and the front only 1.5", I had to cut a slight angle when I cut the clips.
Clip in the slots on the floor
Tie bar to increase support surface
Stock clip
Sectioned clip tacked for fit check.
