Just ordered the lightsight! Thanks for the tip! Still looking to lower the seat. I'm checking out a custom van shop this week. They do wheelchair vans and such.

Local custom van shop won't touch it for liability reasons. They used to do custom work like this but can't anymore. damn Lawyers.

i 6'2" and i don't really have a problem with lights... but then again they set our lines back way from the light and so its pretty far from me, but i would love the seat to be lower, i loved that feeling i had in my Sebring, i hate driving trucks though because it feels like i'm sitting on a bucket... the HHR is somewhere in between...

I'm 6'7" and don't have any issues with my head hitting the headliner of the HHR. I don't have a sunroof so that helps. Getting in after my wife drives it is another story, she is 5'4".

You will have to shorten or make new seat brackets. We have done this alot on chop tops.

I order and received the Light in Sight after reading this thread. Can someone tell me the best place to put it? Should it go right up to the top of the windshield in the center, or is a little lower and towards the center of the car better? Does it depend on the driver? I put this gadget in, but it seems to be in my way. Light reflects, especially at night.

I've had mine for about 3 years now. Early on I repositioned it a couple of times. That's the good thing. You can easily peal it off and try another spot to suit you.

At 6', I like mine centered in front of me and just measured that it is 2.5" from the top of the windshield (measured outside).

She can't put the seat back when she's through? Bet you have to put the seat down when you're finished.

An inch or 2 lower would be perfect!
