LT or 2LT?

LT or 2LT?
My 2008 has an LT badge on the tailgate, but does have the 2LT option. I've seen others with a 2LT badge. What do I have? My window sticker says LT. If it is an LT, then what does a 2LT have that an LT with the 2LT option package doesn't.
Now is that a confusing paragraph or what?

To determine if yours is a 1LT or 2LT, look at the plaque in the glove box for the APO code FE1 or FE3......
FE1.......Touring suspension.......1LT
FE3.......Sport suspension..........2LT
1LTs can be upgraded to the 2.4 engine, but the suspension can't.

suspension difference?
Ok so can someone tell me what the difference is in the suspension between the ls and the 2lt.
The reason i ask is I have drove the lt and the 2lt, and for me I definitely like the 2lt ride.. plus maybe its me but it seemed that the 2lt seems to be quieter. Now granted I drove a used lt that had 5000 miles and a new 2lt but both were the same year.
So is the difference between the lt and 2lt is struts and springs and shock, or a totally different suspension? Can the lt's or ls suspension be changed to be like a 2lt?
Also in a side note, I think Chevrolet should have changed the nomenclature and made the hhr like the Tahoe's, where there ls there is the ls, lt, ltz. The badges are on the sides behind the back door. This would give credence to a higher priced ltz over a lt. Plus it eliminates confusion for the buyers.
Speaking of buyers, my neighbor bought a new hhr, ok, but he drove a 2lt, however there was a lt on the showroom floor, he liked the color and to all outside appearances appeared to have the same package meaning the 2lt, so he bought the lt without driving it. Now after a month he says it doesn't seem to ride as nice, I looked at his hhr and at the one on the dealers lot sure enough he bought a loaded lt with the chrome package, it looks like the 2lt but without the suspension. Sure he should have looked at the difference in stickers but the vehicles should have been badged differently.. He's not totally unhappy with his purchase but would have been a lot happier getting what he thought he was buying. Of course the salesman should have pointed out the difference, but then again a chance of loosing a sale was probably his motivation not to, whereas now the salesman will probably not get a referral from this buyer.
