the 1lt and 2lt have different suspensions. Everything else can pretty much be had on either. I was thinking someone said something about a plaque in the glove box or something that mentioned designation.

I believe the 2LT has a 2.4l, suspension upgrade, different exhaust.
Higher gas price, if you use the recommended grade (premium), maybe a 6 disc cd...fog lights.

High polished rims? Unless purchased seperately, 17" rims are only avail on the 2LT (at least that's what printed in the brochure I have).

In Canada there is either an LS or a LT. There is no 1LT or 2LT like in America. The difference in the LT is either a 1SB package or a 1SC package.

A standard LT 1SB has:

5 speed manual transmission with overdrive

2.4 L I-4 DOHC SMPI 175 hp @ 6,200 RPM 165 ft-lbs @ 4,800 RPM engine

Seating capacity of 5 with cloth front seats, cloth rear seats

Rear seat functions include : fold forward seatback

Driver seat includes 8-way (6-way power), manual reclining, power height adjustable, power 2-way lumbar support, power fore/aft, power cushion tilt

Passenger seat includes 4-way, manual reclining, fold flat, manual fore/aft

454 kg towing capacity

Front independent strut suspension with anti-roll bar

Rear semi-independent torsion beam suspension with anti-roll bar

Front and rear 16.0" x 6.50" machined alloy wheels

6 speakers

2,629 mm wheelbase

A standard LT 1SC has:

HHR LT 1SC Package includes the same content as the HHR LT 1SB Package

Bright Chrome Exterior Appearance Package

Sport Suspension

Leather-Wrapped Steering Wheel

Front Fog Lights

XM Satellite Radio

Pioneer Premium Speaker System w/Subwoofer

Taken from the GM Canada website. I knew things were a little different in Canada. It looks like a LT 1SC is almost the equivalent of an American 2LT minus the 17" rims that the 2LT has and the LT 1SC automatically comes with XM but the 2LT doesn't. The 2.2 is only available in the LS model in Canada.

That depends on which model year you are talking about. For 2007, what you posted is correct.

For 2006, the packages were 1SA and 1SB which were the equivalents of the 2007 1SB and 1SC packages. For 2007 the 1SA is only available on the LS.

And in Canada, running boards are standard equipment for 2007. Also, if you get the upgraded Pioneer stereo system, you have to get XM.

It seems kind of odd to me that GM wouldn't just make them the same for all of North America. I'm assuming differences between US and Canadian models are fairly common?
