Those sound like general maintenance recommendations for all vehicles rather than recommendations specific to the HHR. Kinda like a one size fits all. It would be interesting to see if the recommendations include "replace spark plug wires" considering the HHR has a coil on plug design. If it does you know that the recommendations are not HHR specific.

Some, but not all, dealer service departments are theives who will out right lie to you.

I had one tell me that unless I changed the oil every 3K, it would void my warranty.

And I can't stress enough, alldata is for dealers and service shops, not the consumers. They will recomend what lines their pockets and pays their bills, It's fine for general use, but I will ALWAYS follow what the manufacturer says. After all, they made the car and are the ones who issue and can void the warranty. If they say I don't have to change the oil unti the DIC says, don't have to change plugs for 100K, etc......that's what I'll do.

I'm concerned with the tires. I've never had low profile tires before. I heard or read (manual or dealer) that these tires should be rotated every 5000 miles. So, I decided to have them done at about 4500 intervals. Also, I'm doing the oil changes at that same time. It's a personal preference....as long as you do the minimum required to keep the warranty in effect, that's all that's really important. I'd never waste the money to do oil changes at 3000 miles - unless I saw proof that there is significant oil breakdown that quick.

If you don't have the owners manual, you can see the sechedule, on this link

https://www.mygmlink.com/main/US/en/...me?cmp=chevyhp
You can also keep track of your maintenance schedule there and find other usefull info. Its the GMLink owner center.

Dealer was trying to make money off of you. As far as I have seen HHR's do not have fuel filters.

I get the oil and oil filter, cabin filter, the Outlaw filter, and the tires rotated every 5,000 mile. The oil and tires according to my service contract with the Dealer and since I found out about the cabin filter well,it gets changed as well. I have one more Outlaw filter left, then I must read on how to clean and oil (I think) the others.
