Map/Navigation info for Phones
Rather than using a GPS, or for when you forget the GPS in the other car, we have an option to load a Map/Navigation app on our phones.
The one I have found to be the handiest for me is HERE WeGo - available on the android store at https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...app.maps&hl=en
It even loads up faster on my phone than on my Garmin GPS.
And here is a review of sorts that explains a lot about how to use it: https://www.onetripatatime.com/how-t...our-next-trip/
Google Maps is also a major favourite of many so here is a review of it compared to HERE WeGo: https://www.guidingtech.com/google-maps-vs-here-wego/
Both can be run in offline mode - ie: not using your data plan - and I have found that as per the comparison above, the Google app went a little strange at times on me.
I tried them both and settled on HERE WeGo - check them out if they would be useful to you. And if there is another map program you have tried and would recommend, add to the thread here with your comments.

I like Waze, you get traffic and accident alerts, alternate routes around traffic and in addition to that alerts for police in the area for those of us that test the boundaries of speed limits:
