Got the dome light from hellshotrod today and got it installed, works great. Tried to send him a PM but his mailbox is full today.

I tinkered with the old one, seems someone had it apart before and screwed up the little brass spring loaded contact tabs, the plastic tabs were bent outwards and deformed not allowing the brass contact to float freely which also helped it lock into place as you slid it to whatever setting you wanted it to operate at. Now I have light in the rear when doors open !

topped off my fluids and tire pressures today as well.
Installed new winter wiper blades ( correct sizes but they tap the hood when they go down... not liking the tick.....tick......tick.....

Adjust them. If you have an OEM windshield you will find 2 very hard to see dots that are the alignment spots.

And make sure the arms are on the correct sides. They are not the same.

Yes they are correct, the blades themselves are taller to they tap the very edge of the hood when they go down... not sure how to get any clearance unless the hood brackets get adjusted to raise the hood a bit? but all body lines are uniform so nothing out of alignment.

The old standard blades were very thin and tapered, where these are the snow blades and are a uniform thick height end to end with no tapering.
Both blades are 18" drivers arm is 13" and passenger arm is 16" if swapped the blade would go past the roofline of the windshield so everything is correct, wipers wipe where they should and all, just the blades are thicker. Went to look again and it actually contacts at the edge of the A pillar not the hood on passender side.

The wiper is not in the correct position look at the dot in the windshield

This photo is from my 2007 LS with two drivers side wiper arms, see the dot for alignment that Donbrew circled in red? Your factory OEM arm and wiper should align to that dot.

Ok, so the blades are the correct 18" for my 2008 2.4 , they were the same length as the old blades I removed as I matched them up ... so where do we go from here?

You need to adjust the arm clockwise a bit.

Or maybe the arm isn't snapped in all the way at the connection point?
