Mileage @ MPH and RPM
OK Guys and Gals,
This defies all of my logic.
At 55 MPH with cruise control on I can average 26/27 Miles Per Gallon.
At 64 MPH with cruise control on I can averarge 32/33 MilesPer Gallon.
This defies all of the published logic as to lower speed creates better mileage and/or coeficient of friction.
Has anyone had the same experience?

The best way to get an accurate reading, is add you gallons used over a period of a 1000mi. or so.
Drafting helps, but how long can you really draft on a highway safely.

With a 2.2L engine and auto transmission, I get my best mileage at about 60 mph. I'll actually see 30 mpg. But, when I inch up towards 75-80, I get a 1-2 mpg decrease. I reset the trip odometer, mpg, and average speed every time I fill up. I'm going to start tracking mpg manually to see if the DIC really is really accurate.

Not entirely true, because it would take more engine power to push the car to cover a mile in 10 seconds, then to cover a mile in one minute, thus using more gas.
