you and I are speaking of 2 different issues.
GM classifys the HHR under TRUCKS, which is the parent catagory for fuel mileage. SUV's (the HHR included), small P-u's, large P-u's, some vans are part of the parent.
Then there is the car group...sedans, convertibles, small and large wagons, etc.
What your state, county or city call it is a different matter. In fact, what your insurance company classifys it, may be different. Forum members have had this discussion as well.
That is the reason I mentioned "boasting rights", in my post. Apparently GM feels they have better than satisfactory fuel mileage commitments in the "car" catagory. And classified the HHR as a truck to boost the overall truck mileage catagory, hoping to please Da Uncle....IMO.
Ahh, the dubious and questionable decisions of big business !!! Makes ya wonder, huh.
