MPH to KPH

Reading some posts I've come to the conclusion - speedometer HHR can be customized so that you can see "KPH" instead of "MPH". It is necessary to comply with Russian "technical regulations" - a document governing the admission of vehicles on public roads.
If the computer of a HHR has this option - let me know the technology setting of speedometer . If this option is not available - sadly, I will have to buy the new instrument panel after some time.

I wonder if a face plate change would do it I have a gently used one on the way but I hear black cat custom is where to look for them.

If your car there is like ours here, It should be switchable via the DIC. Here's what I find in the owner's manual:

Entering Personalization Menu:

1. Turn the ignition on while the vehicle is stopped.
To avoid excessive drain on the battery, it is
recommended that the headlamps are turned off.
2. Press and hold the information and reset buttons at
the same time for one second, then release to enter
the personalization menu.
If the vehicle speed is greater than 2 mph (3 km/h),
only the UNITS menu will be accessible.
3. Press the information button to scroll through the
available personalization menu modes.
Press the reset button to scroll through the available
settings for each mode.
If you do not make a selection within ten seconds,
the display will go back to the previous information
displayed.

Personalization Menu Modes
OIL LIFE RESET
When this feature is displayed, you can reset the engine
oil life system. To reset the system, see Engine Oil
Life System on page 5-19. See “OIL LIFE” under DIC
Operation and Displays on page 3-46 for more
information.
UNITS
This feature allows you to select the units of
measurement in which the DIC will display the vehicle
information. When UNITS appears on the display, press
and hold the reset button for at least one second to
scroll through the available settings:
ENGLISH (default in United States): All information
will be displayed in English units.
METRIC (default in Canada): All information will be
displayed in metric units.
To select a setting and move on to the next feature,
press the information button while the desired setting is
displayed on the DIC.

There are then a number of other options but I think the "UNITS" one is what you want. To get out of this section once finished:

Exiting Personalization Menu
The personalization menu will be exited when any of the
following conditions occur:
• A ten second time period has elapsed.
• The ignition is turned off.
• The end of the personalization menu list is reached.

Hope this works for you!

Addendum: I have not tried the above procedure, but thought I had seen a thread where someone else had done it, and they posted a picture of the gauge area, with the area of that 'normally' shows "MPH" now as showing "KPH". If this info is incorrect, I apologize in advance.

It works on my car. I have a CND edition and I can switch from KPH to MPH. As was stated earlier, press both the info and reset buttons and release. You may get oil life reset first. Scroll thru using info button till you see units then press and hold reset for a few seconds. This should change to KPH.You will notice the MPH light goes off and the opposite side of the speedo lights up as KPH. Around here dealers are selling US models without replacing the speedo so it does work the opposite way as well. The only drawback is the US meter goes to 120 and the CND goes to 220. 120 is just a bit over 70MPH.

:)
