GM doesn't need Chrysler!! Let someone else save their butt again. I've owned two (Dodge Durango and Chrysler PT Clunker).What worthless cars.What good is a HEMI if the tranny slips!!! lol. Never will my butt sit in another one.

Ah, but what if you attach that Hemi to a proven driveline, like the 6-speed Corvette tranny, which is probably better equipped to handle the torque a Hemi puts out? At the same time, Chevy/GMC also gives back to Dodge certain things to help the Ram trucks, such as frameworks strong enough to put an eight-cylinder diesel into. (FYI, when Dodge redesigned the Ram to the first iteration of its current appearance, Cummins FLATLY REFUSED to supply diesel engines unless the frames were reinforced: the engines put out too much torque, and with the standard 3/4 and 1 Ton Ram chassis, it twisted like so much tissue paper.)
