If it is the other guys fault why would you be out $500? Or did he jump out in front of you legally?

Um... I don't want to incriminate myself but let's just say the other guy was not at fault and keep it at that

Specs

Last week I looked through some old Motor Trend Yearbooks to see how the HHR compared in size and weight to other cars.

The HHR weighs about 3100 lbs., is 174 inches long, and 2.2 l engine gets 23-30 MPG. The 2.4 l (144 cid) engine develops about 173 hp.

A '55 Chevrolet weighs about 3100 lbs., is 194 inches long, and gets 18-22 MPG. The 265 cid V8 develops about 180 hp with the 2 barrel carb.

A 1970 Volkswagen Beetle weighs 1800 lbs., and is 158 inches long. It gets 24-32 MPG. The engine is 1.6 l (96 cid) and develops 57 hp. 0-60 MPH takes way too long.

I conclude the HHR is a very solid car, has a high-performance engine, and gets good gas mileage for its weight.
