MY bad night

well I was driving to a friends house and ran into a cow.... sucks but yeah waiting for tomarrow to see what my insurance tells me...on top of that the cow died and the ranch is going to charge me for it but oh well

do cows have the right of way on the roads? I don't think you should be held responsible for the cow.

I would think if the cow was out wandering on public roads, you could sue THEM! Or were you on the ranch's property at the time?

Sorry for your HHR loss. But how can the rancher charge you? Were you on his property,,or was it an open range with signs about loose cattle?

well in rio rico the law say the town is open range but the town itself has no signs so im pretty bum out i dont kno how much the cow is gunna cost me but i kno its by the pound

I wouldn't pay the rancher a dime yet. Contact the County Board of Supervisors and see if it was in a "no-fence" district.

I'm surprised open range is still law down there. Must not be a whole lot of people involved in those collisions making noise to the AZ legislature.

OUCH! I wouldn't pay for it either....

When I worked for a Saab dealer way back when one of our customers hit a buffalo doing 65mph

Needles to say it totaled the car and it only had 9K miles on it.
