6'3" here and I seem to fit fine... I too use the passenger armrest, even when my sweetie is riding with me! lol I'm mostly highway driving here. I just filled up tonight and the DIC is showing 31.4 and when I checked the mileage the old fashioned way, miles divided by gallons, I got 33.4 which is about two gallons higher than I'm accustomed to. Personally I like to think it's the Royal Purple oil I changed to. I know my Silverado gained about 2mpg.. My DIC mileage is still going up (no jokes here folks) so I'm interested to see what the next few hundred miles prove...

Oh, welcome to the site Dale, this is a wonderful place full of knowledgeable and helpful folks!!

My brother in law is 6'5" and drives an LS. I kinda' like the windshield setup. It reminds me of driving a '29 Ford truck with a chopped top that my dad used to have. :twothumbs

Let me see if I can answer all the questions,
While in Arizona, I sweat alot, alot, alot ,alot..

and as much as I liked the HHR, If Honda could get the same Mileage from the element, I would have bought on, while indeed not the most attractive vehicle on the road, the sheer utilitarian concept really interested me, I do a moderate amout of camping and it would have been perfect for that.

Yea I started using the I shift position more now, The only (Minor) problem with that is it also downshifts when you are coasting.

I guess once I put the rear seats down and haul the dogs on a ride, It will be totally broken in..

True. It downshifts at 38mph in "I" - just so you can prepare for it.
It also upshifts to 3rd @ 40mph. Like clockwork. (helps when planning something!)

The downshift is designed to aid with engine braking on downhills.

Hope it helps,

I had a Jeep Cherokee for 5 years in Miami with no A/C. Talk about sweating it out.
