My first new car in 30 years!

Yup, I bought a new Lancia Zagato in '79 and used rides ever since.

BUT! Today I just put a deposit on an '09 Black 2LT Half-Panel and got an unbelievable deal... almost $5500 off the sticker... man am I stoked!

Does anyone know what a Black Chrome Package is?

I'm guessing what ever factory parts (grill, door handles) are chrome, will be "black chrome", kind of a smoky chrome finish. IMO, looks better than regular chrome on black. Congrat's on the new ride, you'll love it!

congrats on the HHR-Lancia-awesome, I'm guessing that's not around still? My dad had a '76 Beta Coupe he bought new-had a Flavia Coupe before that. I used to drive the Beta in HS-Loved that car. Had a friend with a Scorpian too.

Ive been pretty happy with the look im sure you will to and have fun with the half panel youll get lots of looks. Ive even heard some say tell me I did a great job customizing it that way, they were a little shock that it was stock.

Thanks ecl... nothing like a few pictures to clear things up. Much appreciated.

Yea, after what seemed like an eternity of indecision I nixed the SS Panel and decided on the 2LT Half Panel. I remember the first time I saw one parked in a dealer lot, I had to do a double-take.

Only another day or two!

i'll be lookin for you on the road. i got 08 black panel. i go thru zebulon every mourning , different times , on the way back to durham , from my route. if you got that black chrome , it's very cool , but be careful. i have seen a few that will peel. i hope they have fixed it. i would think that keeping some good wax on it would help , as well as staying away from pressure washing too close to it.

Hey catdaddy, I see you're in Durham, not far from me... I'm just off 98 a bit North of Wake Forest. Can't be many black panels around here so if you ever get honked at by an old fart in a black half-panel (or a red '02 Dakota) that'll be me.

I nixed the black chrome... it ain't black and it ain't chrome and it ain't all the chrome.

rebates

you just cant help but wonder when a dealer is selling a fully loaded truck for $40,000 and gives you $15,000 dollars in rebates, just how much do they jack the price up so you think your getting a good deal? how are they making money? to me it just dosent make sence. they should quit with the rebate crap, sell the car for whats its worth with a maginable profit.:twothumbs
