My first thread in a long time

I am a member of the forum for about 5 years, but this is my first message in the last few years.

I bought my 2007 HHR 2LT in 2008 with 5 years extended GMAC warranty. The warranty expires today. I took it in to replace a outlet fuse and a worn LCA bushing yesterday.

I noticed the transmission has some very low clicking noise at high speed, it's barely noticeable in winter time, not at all now. But since the warranty expires today, I still took it in for a check up yesterday. No, the dealer service guy was not able to hear anything, that costs me about $50.

I paid about $1600 for the warranty, I am happy I did. It covered quite a few things I am unable to DIY. But now I am on my own.

It has just 80K on it. I like the car.

Welcome back

EDB

I like your HHR. Are those blacked headlights, smoke spray, or smoke film.

I am going to spray my tail lights (all the red lights) but perhaps the film will work on the headlights better. Can't afford to buy 'em that way. Thanks.

They are all film. I now removed the tinted headlight because I am afraid it dims the light too much. I still keep the blackened taillight, they look very nice.

Months before the current extended warranty expires, my dealer quoted me some $1500 for another 1 year extended warranty. I was shocked by the number. I think what you have is a good deal.

Just curious what company did you go with.
I have heard some bad things about some of the warranty companies

I think it's GMPP.

All problems found by the dealer were fixed, no question is asked.

smoke

Thanks for that - I was about to order some film. Perhaps the spray paint will work for the headlights? Just be careful how many coats you apply. I would start with two.
