My HHR officially SUCKS!
#31
I know all about snow tires, all weather tires, even studded tires and have been driving in western New York for about 43 years. I've driven FWD, RWD, AWD, and 4WD. Every care and every tire has its limitations, its plus's and its minus's. The HHR is what it is...a small car that has limits when it comes to extreme driving conditions. For what it's worth...after the town plowed the street and my guy plowed the driveway everything was just fine and dandy!
I just love to vent!

The first time I drove it I thought it was horrible. Today, I thought it was great. My #1 tip - light on the throttle to get moving: Its torque heavy! I'm talking 2% to 5% blips until you're rolling. On corners its great, brakes are great just getting going is the toughest.
I don't have a ton of experience. I do miss my 1995 Buick Riviera... heavy, big tires, traction control. But I'd not swap for milage or handling.
Oh yeah, stock Firehawks here.
