My Ripper Project

Finally got my Road Ripper project more or less finished. Took awhile to find paint that came close to SOM, and then the dismantling commenced. I carefully removed the guts so that I could put it back together and have the lights, audio and other action work again when it was done. Got her painted, reassembled and everything worked like a charm. Added replicas of my license plates and frames, palm tree graphics and KW oval on the back bumper.

My mistake was leaving it out where my grandsons could find it... and before I knew it the music and the other electronics mysteriously stopped working. Hmmmm....

Took it with me to the GM Powertrain Auto Show and had it on display with my car. I think there was more interest in the miniature version than with the real thing!

Anyway, I have another one still in the box and I think it may turn into a panel truck version.

Thanks. I used Testor's "Roadster Orange Pearl" (#52920) over a base of flat white primer.

..and now that I've posted my pics I noticed that I haven't done the black trim (side mirror arms, rear step panel, fog light holes, etc).
Oops!

Looks great! I tried doing a Punky RR, but mine didn't yield quite the positive results that I was hoping for.
