Well!! Salt Lake City has no HHR rentals at National Car, So had to drive an Impala....sigh!!!!!

I will find out what LAX has to offer on Aug 20 when I arrive..

This is for safety reasons. Small children are less likely to activate the switch while standing on the seats near the door. IIRC, some car makers got sued by someone whose child died stepping on an old style switch. The window came up and choked the child.

That makes no sense to me. Most cars still have the window switches on the doors. The HHR is moving the switches to the door in 2008, and the rear switches (where children are more likely to be) have always been on the rear doors.

So, it was for saety reasons and now they are going to make the car "unsafe"?

Thought that was going to be an "SS" change only.
