Need advice on a good trailer
#22
I'm about to find out if my CRF450 can tear down enough to fit in the back. If it's not do-able I'm gonna have to do a hitch and a decent $350.00 trailer I guess. I've got a 2k mile trip to do. Just called Lowes and they have 30" wide 80guage plastic wrap which I intend on using to wrap the bike up. Don't want to lose that "new car smell" this soon...haha

Each solution has it's pluses and minuses and you have to just decide which you want to do.

The more you add to the trailer the more it weighs, the less carry capacity you have left. Granted a real nice overbuilt trailer with 15" caqr wheels would be nice but if all your doing is towing a small vehicle at reasonable speeds and distances why end up with a big heavy trailer being towed behind a limited tow capacity vehicle.

I have a Harbor Frt trailer, a foldable one to be exact..have it now 3 years and it had a year on it before that....Ive gone several trips with this trailer with no problems..both with the HHR-SS and without.Oh yeah, hauling an 800# bike in the weather and everything else. Only 'trick' to this trailer is making sure everything is tight before a long run..Those tires may look small but they work fine- as long as they are not over loaded. And as a side note, these wheel tire assy can be bought at WalMart in case you run into problems.....
