Need Help Planning National G2G - HHRitage Nationals
Okay folks, its time for you to make this event truly your own!
What we need is a planning committee with at least one member from each region. I think it would also be great if there could be someone from each of the HHR clubs that have formed and members from other forums.
I was basically taken to the proverbial woodshed about this, rightfully so. We need NATIONAL effort for this to be a NATIONAL event!
Deb and I are willing to do what it takes to make this work. To keep it from becoming a soap opera here and to keep some sanity in the planning Deb has created an on-line group for all of the discussion.
So PLEASE, pitch in. We need to make this an event to remember and to do this it will take a lot of dedicated people.
So PM me or Deb if you'd like to be on the planning committee. And I know we have people here who are members of other HHR forums, so please represent volunteer to represent them too!

Thanks Mike...I think with some help from members from each region and the other forums, we the ChevyHHR community can put together one fantastic 1st Annual HHRitage Nationals. By forming this committee, every region and every HHR forum will have representation in making all the decisions concerning this event. By having this committee, it will also show potential sponsors and media outlets that we have thought this through and I believe we will also be opening the doors to a great many more of them who would be willing to help us out.
If you are interested in being on this committe, please let Mike or myself know and we will be happy to add you to the list for the planning committee group. Also, as Mike said, we know many of you belong to other forums, which expands the number of HHR owners who can be on this committee so that everyone out there is represented.
I will be throwing my name in to be one of the representatives for the South Mountain Region, however, I think it would be great if we could have someone to represent each state where there might be someone available to assist the committee in helping to make this event a huge success.
I've never done anything like this myself, but I know if we all put our heads together we can do what needs to be done. Finding potential sponsers and making decisions on behalf of the entire HHR community is the goal of this community, so please volunteer a little of your time to help this very worthy cause. We cannot do this and make it a huge success without help of the entire HHR community as a whole. Regardless of what club or forum you are affiliated with, you are invited to help . If you know of someone who belongs to one of the other HHR forums that isn't a member here that would like to help, please have them provide you with contact information and send it to either Mike or myself. The committee will always be open to adding new members who are willing to lend an extra hand who are interested in promoting this event in their area. The more ideas we have the better this event will be.
So...let's start hearing from everyone interested in providing a helping hand. This is an event for the HHR community and therefore should be planned by multiple members of the community as well.

I'm in. I've never done anything like this before, but what the hey, let's make this run a huge success. The only down side is I'll be in Florida May 16th to June 2nd 2008 so I won't be much help during that time.

C'mon ladies and gents...there are nearly 4000 member here and I know we can get together a great committee. Please either post your interest here or PM myself or Mike and we'll send you the link to the MSN group that has just been started for our committee.

Thanks...Mike has some great ideas and this is the kind of support that we need. This is an event for the entire HHR community and we need all the help we can get to make this a great event.
Thanks to those who are volunteering....but we still need a whole bunch more, so take that leap and join us in planning the biggest HHR event ever.
