Question Need to run wire through firewall - where??

We are setting up our HHR to tow and are almost finished, finally!!! We need to run a wire from the breakaway switch, which has been mounted under the front grill opening, to the inside of the HHR. It will then connect to a BrakeBuddy which will sit on the floor. Can't seem to find a good place to get the wire through the firewall. Would really like to have it come in somewhere to the right of the gas pedal if possible.

For those of you who have run wire through the firewall - got any good ideas of where I should go through? Trying to find a place to drill a hole, and not wanting to screw something up under the dash, has me concerned.

Thanks for the help.

The HHR is a great tow car, we have been towing ours behind our Allergro Bus for over 3 years now. I will check, but I'm pretty sure all the wiring goes through that spot mentioned in the above post. I have a US Gear brake system installed, have never had a problem with it. Our bus doesn't even notice the HHR connected to it, nor does the mileage change when towing.

Yes I believe its a large grommet in the area of the gas pedal. You should be able to sneak a wire through there.

I used a coat hanger and just pushed through away from the harness so prevent accidential knicking of any wires.
