Need urgent advice on purchase

I was driving home and saw an HHR for sale on the side of the road.. Decided to pull over and take a look. Car is a 2007 FALL EDITION 2LT HHR with just a hair over 89000.....What is a good bargaining price for this package? Any reason I should upgrade from a 2006 to 2007? My car is still going strong at 170,000 But that Fall edition caught my eye..... Were there any new problems that arose with the 2007 model? what types of revisions were done? Need advice as to if I should pick this up or not!

Pick it up! The '07 seems to be a good year, I've got over 200,000 on my 2.2 auto, LS

Going to meet up with him tomorrow and check out the interior and everything else and work out some numbers.... Seems like it might be too good to be true! At least at this point I definitely know what to look and listen for... I will be pulling up in the same thing!! :P

Lowest he would go was 6800.... I didn't even want to tell him what the market value was. He even tried to figure in the price of the SS emblems he put on -_- Car was in great shape, but needed an alignment and had an audible lifter tap. I told him good luck on his sale and if he cant sell it at that price contact me. Although beautiful, I doubt a 2007 LT even with a fall edition package is worth his asking price of 7,000

That lifter noise could have been a failing timing chain tensioner, or guides ! SS badges do nothing for the price .
An Alignment usally means worn out rear LCA bushings and or ball joints and tie rod ends.
It's worth no more than $5,500.00
How were the door seams rusted or clean?

Yeah when I told him I wasnt thinking of a price THAT high his simple response was "well we are done here."..... I responded politely and said alright good luck with the sale and thank you for letting me see the vehicle. I know about the 5,500 because I did a KBB check and that is in excellent showroom condition. I am quite disappointed to say the least! And about the noise it was VERY noticeable....... I was getting in expecting to hear the same noise I am used to from the 2.4 but that ticking concerned me. The odometer actually only read 83900.....so of course i was let down. Bummer!

Funny thing was one of the first things he said to me was "I found the bill for those badges and it was about 30 dollars" and I stood there thinking okay...... Asking price is now 7,030? HAHA

Some times you have to know when to hold em, and no when to fold em. I'll sell you my 2011 2lt with just a hair of 60k miles on it!

My Chevy dealer recently offered me $1850 for my 06 LT w 2.4 L engine trade in. I traded the car in late 2014 and got $4000 trade in value. Mine at that time had 131,000 miles on it, but I had the car 8 1/2 years and had no issues with it. I do miss it some times.
