New addition, checking in
Hello all!
I've had my HHR for around two weeks now, and I figured that it was high time for me to stop obsessively reading the posts here, and say hello! The HHR I picked up is a White '07 LT1, with the 2.2L and a manual trans.
I've been thoroughly enjoying the car so far. It swallows all of my gear (I do a lot of biking, so it's nice to be able to toss bikes and tools in the back), gets outstanding mileage, and I am most surprised with the build quality. The interior is nicely put together, and the car is squeak and rattle free, even on broken B-roads. The HHR is replacing an '06 Mustang, which was fun, but was pretty lacking in the utility/mileage/quality categories.
I don't expect to go wild with mods, but based on the excellent advice of this forum , I've ordered a Turbo Tech rear sway bar. I'm also trying to find a set of the 18" five-spoke wheels from a Cobalt SS to serve as dedicated summer 'shoes'. Hopefully the two of these will help to cure the soggy turn-in and heavy understeer.
