Wow...nice job on the 2 Tone...it's even in my neck of the woods. Noticed the front plate and realized it's a local dealer.

 

That's the same stuff but a different brand. You can buy it at the auto parts store rather than importing an expensive Japanese one. It's less than $15 a can if you go to the parts store. The only brand I have used before is VHT Nightshades http://72.10.43.141/nightshades.htm I found it at the local Pep Boys. Notice the for off road use only disclaimer because it can be illegal, check your local laws. I know it is illegal here in NY but I don't care. I don't think most cops will ticket you as long as you don't go too dark because your tail lights still light up red.

 

so you use that,then clear over it? I'd like to see some pictures if anyome knows of any..

 

I haven't smoked my HHRs lights yet so I don't have pics of it on an HHR. I can post tons of pics of other vehicles that have had it done.

Here are some Sunfire lenses.

It looks pretty good if you do it right. Remember you can go as light or as dark as you want based on the number of coats you use. It comes out thick so use lots of really light even coats for the best results. I will post pics of my HHR after I smoke my lenses whenever that may be.

 

do you plan on smoking the headlights also?

Yup and my fog lights. The headlights and fog lights on my Mustang were smoked and I loved it. Everywhere I drive has tons of street lights so I don't mind loosing some of the brightness and distance due to the smoked lenses.
