New to HHR - discovered 2 things

Hi all,
I bought an HHR a few months ago and since I discovered 2 interesting things. I just want to confirm that they are normal.

1. When the cabin air is set to blow on your feet only, the air cannot be recirculated inside the cabin. The light for the outside button flashes if you push the one for the recirculation.

2. If you set the air to be recirculated in the cabin and turn the fan on the A/C turns on as well. The A/C light will not illuminate but I can clearly hear the A/C clutch engage and also feel it on the engine. This happens even if the air is set to hot.

I forgot to mention that I have a 2007 2LT 2.4L manual.

Thanks!

Yes, this is all as designed. Also the compressor will run if defrost is selected.

It’s always a fun thing to discover new things about a new to you ride, if you didn’t get an owners manual Donbrew has a link in his signature to them on line.

Thanks oldblue!
I have an owners manual. I actually need to go through it to see if it says how to register a new key fob. The car only came with one and a spare would be smart to have.

Welcome.

Original GM fobs unfortunately have to be set up by a dealer or locksmith using special tools. However there are aftermarket ones available that you can program yourself.

Thanks whooper!
Bummer. I guess I only need to buy the dorman one once and the programmer will work for all fobs in the future.

And 3 sessions. The 4 fob limit is in the car, not just a Dorman thing.
