New Panel Version

I love the panel HHR and that is why I ended up purchasing an HHR. Have to tell you that the reason I changed my mind was because of the blind spots. Knew my wife would be driving it and we have a spot where she merges and it would be downright dangerous!

The new version with just the panel in the far back really is a nice practical solution for those wanting to letter it and still have the full seating.

We have the best looking vehicles on the road!!!!!!

It's really fine after you get used to it. I bought those little 2" blindspot mirrors and with those I'm switching lanes like when I'm in my Maserati.

Personally, before the panel came out, I hated the HHR's looks. Totally fugly in my honest opinion.

Then one day I was headed to a friend's wedding. Saw the panel on the lot. Had to have one.

Blind spots are easy. Try driving a 40 foot uhaul truck and then tell me about it.

Panel

I was going to wait for a panel, but I got kids. I've logged 28,000 miles in one year and I love the versatility. I can haul for people in it, or fold down the seats and crash (or whatever) in the back. With my 12v heating pad, my HDTV and DVD laptop plugged into the mp3 input and resting on the fold down passenger seat, I've got an passenger car / RV that gets 30 MPG (it tells me it gets 32, but it lies).

Have an all black one since November. Looks cool as h-e double hockey sticks.
Sometimes merges are difficult but I'm in north Joisey where everyone is inconsiderate.

I was seriously considering a panel but there are no less than two intersections I drive into every day that are shaped like a "Y" and when I'm coming up into the Y I have to go left and there is no way in hell I could ever see traffic coming from my right. I would have to get in the passenger seat to see and that ain't happening.

Got the half-panel and love it.

Chevy added some great spotter mirrors to the 09's and when you get use to them there's no problem seeing whats next to you. I have no problem changing lanes or seeing people merge next to me, only problem is backing out of parking spots and not knowing if someone is coming from either direction

blind spots

the blind spots really worried me at first...it would take me forever to change lanes or back up....i now have plenty of trust in my mirrors...i just check the side and then make sure i see the car beside me in the rear mirror before i move over...it is pretty much fool proof that way.
