There were four of these at my local Toys R Us. Well, three now, and one of those has a non-functioning left taillight.

I would have thought Maisto or Ertl would have come out with a 1/24, or 1/18 scale Diecast HHR by now !!

Thumbs up quite popular on ebay...

The Road Ripper HHR is getting pretty popular on ebay! This 'used' version is currently at $20.50 with 10 bids and 1 1/2 days to go...I have still seen some of these on store shelves in my area, maybe I should pick up an unopened version of this future collectable!!!

I got one of those Road Rippers ones at Toys R Us this weekend. It's in a really ugly paint job, though...grey with yellow slashes. I'm thinking of going to the hobby store and getting some model spray paint and repainting it as close to Imperial Blue as I can, make up a mock-up of my license plate for the back, etc., and convert it to my HHHR as close as I can get. I'm not a modder on the real car, but I guess I'll give it a go on the toy!

Scaleguy, are the little cars in your photo Hot Wheels, Matchbox, or some other line? I'd really like to have that size...the Road Ripper is ok, but I hate those buttons on top, and it is pretty unwieldy. Some Hot Wheels sized cars would be cool to have...

Here's my version along with the life-size model... painted the Ripper to look like Tropicar, even down to the palm tree decals on the rear window. I took a digital pic of the license plate and frame, printed it and then stuck it onto some double sided foam tape. Worked like a charm!
