New member - Hi all!

I just took possession of my HHR on Friday, and, first impressions, it's a great car. My last car was a Saab 9-2X Aero, and, while I miss the turbo, I love how comfortable and roomy the HHR is. Here's what I got:

2006 LT in daytona blue
ABS disc brakes, Automatic, MP3 CD w/ speaker package
Grey leather interior, heated seats

I'm looking forward to tricking out the sound system, the first step is probably to dampen the body panels and get rid of as much road noise and rattling as possible.

I would have liked an LT2, but we got this as a PEP car, and the discount was fantastic. I'm going to put a ton of miles on this car, and was debating weather or not to get the extended warranty, which I can also get discounted. Any help on this would be appreciated, I have a few thousand miles to make up my mind :)

I like hacking around with electronics so I hope I can add some fun projects to the forums.

We look forward to hearing and seeing stuff about your HHR. I also have a 1LT in Sunburst Orange Metallic and mine is a 2.2L 5spd. There's a ton of things you can do to the HHR...just look around and be amazed.

Please be sure to post some pictures...we love to gawk at photos. Have a great time and we'll see you around the forum.

Welcome aboard! You'll finds lots of facts and tips here. Use the search feature. I know Mike at SoCal HHR's (one of our best supporting vendors) did a piece on the sound deadening of the doors. I remember it was very well illustrated. If you can't find it, contact him through his website located on our Vendor Index.

Again, and enjoy the ride!
