Welcome to the Forum! There seems to be a fast growing So-Cal group forming lately and Mitzkity is the hub. We might live close because I saw a red panel last week from the same dealership. I have a white panel that is being painted right now. We have a few outings planned and you are more than welcome to join us, along with anyone else in So-cal. Here are links to the threads.

Thanks for the props... but now show them some of your "other" rides HR Bob. We are car crazy here too, and it doesn't mean we are Chevy-centric (much).

Ok, here ya go.This was the cover for the Ford magazine last September.[IMG][/IMG]

Here it is in my alley. Almost all original. I had to change things. Front spoiler, lowered, sway bars and now 15x7 Magnum 500 wheels

Now this is the kids car. The wrench didn't fall far from his crib. He had the coolest car in high school. Now has disc brakes and a hot 292 in the works and he did it himself.

The name Hotrodbob was given to me by my older son. I drive 'em, build 'em work in the industry with them and more. It's my hobby and what I make a living with. Cars-trucks-racing-Rodding-shows

So does this mean, if I buy an old car to restore, you will tell me everything I need to know .... never mind. (slaps hand)... Cheri, remember your mantra.

I will NOT buy a car or truck to restore...
It will be a money pit.
I will NOT buy a car I have no idea what to do with...
I will have to pay someone else to work on it.
I will NOT buy a car I have no place to store...
I would be an idiot to think about it
and it would be rude to the car.

I love the maverick, I've always wanted one but not enough to go get one, if one falls into my yard I'll do it up all nice and happily drive it

Now Now, never say never.......... Besides, the HHR is cool and retro enough to take the place of an old car and it's lots more reliable....

Thanks, glad you like it too. Got this one from a friend about 4 years ago. Not restored, just a complete oldy. I've always like the Mavericks and when this one came up for sale I sold a bunch of stuff to get it. It is a kick to cruz in. Not many around.
