New to the site! Missouri hhr owner
Hello from Southeast Missouri! I own a beautiful 2010 HHR 1LT! While I did have a couple common service issues with mine within a few months of purchasing it, I still LOVE IT! While it is OFTEN confused with being a PT Cruiser, they are NOTHING a like! I wouldn't touch a PT with a ten foot pole!! Lol! I have recently started to work on customizing my HHR... So far I have tinted the windows, added chrome eyelashes on the headlights, chrome mirror covers as well as chrome door handle covers, LED tail lights with chrome rings around them, and 20" Chrome KOYO rims! I also have charcoal headlights and HID headlights that will be added soon! also found RT66 fender badges which I placed on the sides of the hood.
Another addition coming soon will be a custom paint job! I ran a few of my paint ideas past a local shop owner and came up with the idea to leave the top, fenders, and bottom of the car the factory light silver... And adding a dark charcoal paint from the front side of the hood going down the side following the line right above the door handles, also following the curves of the fenders... Continuing around the rear and back Down the other side! I LOVED the idea because it simulated the "panel" look with out the fake wood! With the theme in mind I named my car Capone because with the paint it would almost look like a bullet, and around the era Al Capone was the most ruthless leader sooo why not name my HHR after him??? Sure!!!
Now, about two months later I was bored and was looking at Picts of custom hhr's online... And what do I find??? Lol a European hhr with MY SCHEME( different colors thankfully) and on the rear quarter panel was the word Capone! Seriously! Lol but MINE WILL BE BETTER!!! Lol anyways, that is my HHR story so far and I will keep everyone updated on our progress! Btw, Capone already has a trophy under his belt for top 20 in a local show out of 200 vehicles! Something I didn't expect to get, but will definately take!
