new stuff

My GM parts direct order came in yesterday for my '09 work HHR. I got a carpeted mat for the rear cargo area, a set of front and rear splash guards, and a rear bumper protector. The black plastic thing. I installed the stuff yesterday evening. I did put the bottom screws in the spalsh guards too...did it right. Only being a little over a month old I've noticed the rear fenders are already a little gritty feeling from the "sandblasting" effect. It does not have running boards so the splach guards should help at least a little.

I am going to the salvage yard tomorrow to pick up a few parts for a friend and while I'm there I'm going to see if they have any wrecked HHRs (they had several last time I was there) to try and score a steering wheel audio control module and the harness. I read the how-to on here and it looks easy to do. Would love to find a chrome grille there too but since most of them are wrecked in the front it's not likely.

Pics of stuff in case anyone is interested. Car is kinda dirty though. Still need to rid the car of the rear door emblems especially that ugly flex-fuel one. The mat is very nice, probably weighs 15 pounds and made well. Will keep the equipent I carry from scratching the plastic floor and rattling which drives me nuts!

Theres a really nice U-pull in Milford, OH and another in Hebron, KY which is about a 20 minute drive from my house. The one in Milford is huge, very well organized, by make and model and very well stocked.

As for the color, it's aqua blue which I love.

About $70 through GM parts direct but I got my work to pay for it...:) It is a nicely made thing. Very heavy (nice thick rubber underneath) and made around all the tie-down hooks and all to fit right. I would probably get it if it was my own personally owned vehicle.
