Well good news, The knock is the blend door actuator so about $50 to replace myself which I will probly knock out today. I assume it was damaged with all the crap that was accumulated on the cabin air filter?
Found it on youtube last night doing research

Today I went to Dobbs to get the oil changed, My son in law works there and since they aren't busy we got it on the lift and crawled around checking it out. Trans cooler lines (crimped rubber lines) are wet but not leaving puddles so they think they can be re-crimped to stop seepage or replace before they start leaking worst?? $300 for them to do it ( with discount ) and the exhaust was cut/welded in sections for repairs we assume?? and one hanger near the rear is rusted off so that's the little rattle occasionally, Ill have to borrow a mig or If I can find a nice exhaust and just replace it all from front to rear since the flex pipe had some welding done as well.

In general the car is in great shape which puts me at ease now that we could thoroughly look it over, Son n law pulled the Carfax which showed in the last 10K miles ( past year ) the timing chain was replaced, all brakes/rotors/drums , springs, struts, starter, belts, vent and other small stuff along with the battery, ignition ect
...

LOL went shopping myself, I need a cargo net, cubes of soda slamming around back there...lol

But looking more at the interior, the A and B pillars are also the color of the leather ( Upper is leather seat color, Lower is Ebony ) I cant seem to find anything that says someone changed it, it all looks original, no marks where screws were removed and replaced …. still looks factory. Looking at the build sheet it says there was only about 700+ made, so maybe a limited or special order?
