Dear ChevyM84,

Thank you for the additional information about your situation. I can understand how you are feeling about taking the vehicle in for the engine stalling issue.

Depending on what the dealership finds to be causing the stalling of your 2008 HHR will determine if it is covered under the Powertrain warranty. The warranty information can be properly addressed by contacting your local Chevrolet dealership as I am sure that you already know. However, I do not have access to the internal workings of the dealerships as to what the fee is for the diagnostics of your vehicle if any. I apologize for this inconvenience, but I would think that they could provide you with this specific information even over the telephone.

Please let me know how things are going when you do take the vehicle in for this.

Sincerely,
Michelle, Chevrolet Customer Service

Michelle thank u for responding to me.......well the dealer said there would be a diagnostic charge if the parts wasnt covered under warranty......i figured that but i was hoping it was different. i did however diagnose the problem to the MAF sensor(started with the codes P0101 and P0102 and i had no voltage) which i belive isnt covered.......(my luck). i also would like to know what the warranty on the paint is? cause i have the famous HHR paint bubble.
