With the warm weather, I've been using the remote start more often. It so nice to feel the A/C after walking across blazing hot asphalt.

I love to remote start the car when someone is near, or push the lock and make the car beep. Its really funny to do it when a cat walks in front or near by

I use remote start when its hot like now, and in the winter.

I do not understand how you dont have a remote start feature on your HHR Chizzer, Is it an automatic?, if it is, It HAS to have an automatic start feature. it comes STANDARD on all HHR's with automatic transmission, UNLESS, you would have needed to upgrade your trim level, but I dont think that would be the case, all automatic HHR's should have that feature, I'll look in my HHR catalog (I still have it!) and check it out for you.

LS edition doesnt have it as an option, if im not mistaking. but you can have it added by the dealer since that part is just plug in play and ECU flash.

Reread post # 2. He states, which is true, vehicles built for the rental fleets had the remote start delete option.

Chizzer.....if I remember correctly HHR's with the automatic trans. and built for Canada, did not automatically come with the remote start. You had to elect it as an option. But, look on the bright side.....you got running boards (standard in Canada on 07's).

May be wrong, however.

Best way to find out what's going on is to call the dealer where you purchased your car or have your work done. I'm sure they can let you know what the deal is with the auto-start.

Correct. It's an available option, an extra 250 or so. They are pretty hard to find without it though; I should know, I tried.
