Cool No matter what color your HHR, it's greener than a PT!

Most of our HHR models are U.S. EPA Smartway certified "green" but only two of the California emissions PT's are.

Our mpg ratings out rock theirs, too!

Advantage: HHR

I was surprised how low the mpg was on the PTs, with their little weak engines and all. :P

None of the PT's with automatics get better than 26 mpg highway. Pathetic.

My auto trans HHR actually gets BETTER than the EPA rating of 30 mpg hwy. That's with my cruise control set to 65 mph.

If you want a really good laugh ...

I don't know about the rest of the country, but here in WNY the local Toyota dealers are raving all about how the Toyota Tundra gets such great gas mileage and is so smart for the environment ... if you want a scale of how thick they're spreading the BS, look at the EPA's numbers on it.

I had heard that the Tundra gets even worse mileage than any domestic full size pickup (even one tons!), I guess the EPA numbers back that up.

Another funny thing about those oh so reliable Toyotas is that they are having problems with the 5.7L motors in them.

Just a minor problem though, broken camshafts

Why are only the 07's getting that rating (with the 7 from the greenhouse gas score) what's different with the emiissions of the 06 to 07?

I live near the Princeton Indiana plant of TMM (Toyota Motor Manufacturing) where they build Tundras. I have met quite a few employees. I'm surprised there aren't more build quality issues on the Tundra.

You know the sad part is that the public will be so forgiving along with the auto magazines. Yet if the same thing were happening on a domestic truck it would be the whole country coming down on them with the whole domestic trucks/cars are junk and what a peice of $%*! talk. Yet even when Toyota has had as many recalls as they have had recently people still think they are the best. What do the Domestics have to do to get back with the American public?
