....your wasting money..you can't go wrong at 3,ooo miles,but if you can afford it,sure. Otherwise its like changing your bath water half way thru the bath................

I have a Chevy Diesel truck and when I was active on the Diesel forum there was a guy there that worked at one of the big oil testing labs. He swore he could always tell from the results when an engine was using the K&N filter and always sent back the results with a recommendation to get rid of the filter if they wanted their engines to last. A few members tried calling BS on him and he bet them he could tell them if they used the filter or not if they sent him their oil for testing. He was never wrong. He said he could tell from the indications of solids in the oil that it had a K&N.

Never used one of them again.
