Old family photo

I was at my Aunt`s and got to look at her old photo albums and found this picture from 1956 of my grand father he`s on the left. She has no idea about the old panel in the background. It could be just a quoincedence that someone took there picture in front of it.

I can still dream that he had the grand father to my panel though.Looks to be around a 1950 anyone know for sure.In case your are wondering that is an egg they are holding at a county fair.

Interesting! I like the photo too. :twothumbs Have you thought about having the photo restored, and have it made with color to see if it matches your RED HHR

Mike, the panel has to be 1947-50, as they had no vent windows like the one in the pic. Also looks like that one has no treads on the running boards, making it a 1947.

What year did the key lock go below the door handle? You can see it in the pic.

1947-51 used the turn down door handle, with separate lock assy. below the handle as pictured. 1952 was first year that used push button handle, with lock incorporated into it.

Rear Bumper looks similar to my 1940 Chevy, But with a little more wrap around to the rear fender.
