the first time I saw an hhr was my wife an I were comming back from cracker barrel. saw it on the car lot did not know what it was but knew it was a chevy buy the bowtie.came home got on the net to see what it was.took two months to find the one i wanted. birthday 11-30 05

 

build date 07/04/05 4yrs today

 

Just beat'cha by a couple of days!! Build date 7/1/05. Bought it 8/15/05.
I'd never seen or heard of an "HHR" 'til the day we bought it! Haven't been sorry yet!

I must be looking in the wrong place, all I can find for a date is month & Year. 05/06 & 04/08.

I found the Day of manufactor thread and posed my last 6 for both cars, still I in no way have the oldest of first HHR built.

 

Guess I'm in line at the 3rd oldest, having a build date of 7/18/05.

 

Mine is no where near the oldest, but I still remember when they first came out. Can't remember the first one I saw, but I'm fairly certain it was orange. I do specifically remember one day I was at work loading something into someone's car and a brand new one drove by in dark gray, and I just loved it! I also remember right around that time seeing one at Zehnder's resturant unloading people, and it was orange!

I test drove one in June of '06 and brought it home...had my mom take pictures of me in it, and pictures of me by it and my truck together..... Now only 3 years later, I finally have it! This one didn't have as many options as mine now does, but at the time I actually liked the brushed aluminum better, but now I like the chrome!
