Have a great Bud

Oh come on Dave... cant spare the $25 bucks to upgrade the spark plugs to Bosch +4 Platinum???

I admit, I was skeptical, but there is definitely a gain in mid-range power.

I think in for an 07 model that ABS should be standard, at least on the LT.

I think that in the day and age of 8 speed (lexus LS) transmissions that a 5 speed auto and a 6sp manual should at least be an option. And i think the add-on cost they have for the auto is a little over the top and I'm sure the actual cost is not that much more.

Hmm you know im okay with the window switches being where they are, i think the stock radio is excellent for a well stock radio..

My only other complaint is the dash materials could have been a little nicer.. bu other then that for the cost and what you get i love my truckie

I think there should be rear wheel drive and maybe even a V6 engine option.

The 2.2L and 2.4L engines really don't need a 6 speed. jmho.
The proposed HHR SS model with the turbo engine, on the other hand, would definitely benefit by a 6-speed manual. This begs the question, does GM even make a 6-speed for FWD cars?

RWD would have to be on a different platform, would it not?
Can you say SIGNIFICANT COST INCREASE?
Kinda defeats the whole idea of the HHR being an economy car...

Wow, MOTRV8D...someone else actually recognizes cost factors. Sanity at last . You might be surprised what is coming.

Not saying it couldn't happen...but comparing options/mechanicals on a $40,000+ car to a car less than $20,000 is not a good analogy.

test drive/mirror

I did a test drive of the HHR yesterday, and the only thing I didn't like about it was that I couldn't see around the rear view mirror. Traffic entering from the right side was completely blocked from view. Tried adjusting the seat, mirror, etc, but because the windshild is small, there's not much in the way of adjustability.

Loved the car-hated the blind spot...didn't feel safe.

It does go up, eat_world had the same complaint, I got in his car and just pushed it up. It's stiff but it does move.

Welcome maxikyd! You're doing the right thing. Gather all the info you can and the weigh the pros and cons. There should be enough info, just here on this site to weigh down both sides.

Please let us know what you decide and what was the major factors for your decision.
